Concerns and challenges in nanomaterials and nanostructures.Nanomaterials and nanostructures are the original product of nanotechnology, and the key building blocks for enabling technologies. In this context, this book presents a concise overview of the synthesis and characterization methods of nanomaterials and nanostructures, while integrating facets of physics, chemistry, and engineering. The book summarizes the fundamentals and technical approaches in synthesis, and processing of nanostructures and nanomaterials, giving the reader a systematic and quick picture of the field. Also available in print.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Adobe Acrobat Reader, EPUB reader, or Kindle reader.Maria Benelmekki (College of Engineering, Swansea University, UK). After completing a PhD in experimental solid state physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and postdoctoral work at Ecole National Sup?erieure d'Art et M?etier, she joined industrial research as Project Manager. She later joined the Centre of Physics of Minho University. In 2012, she joined the NPD unit at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate-University, as Senior Staff Scientist. From 2016 to 2018 she served as associate professor at NTNU-Norway.Title from PDF title page (viewed on June 5, 2019).
